General dentistry is responsible for medical and dental anamnesis (patient's clinical history) and extra and intra oral clinical examination to gather the necessary elements for the most appropriate treatment of biological, structural, functional and aesthetic problems of the natural dentition and adjacent tissues.

The main objectives of the consultation are: Diagnose and plan the necessary treatments, be the connection with the various specialties, Clarify any doubts the patient has, direct patients to the different specific areas of dentistry according to their needs.‍
